Indigenous Plant Medicine Retreats – Sacred, Tribal, Powerful, Healing & Transformative

This eight-night Into the Light retreat offers heart-opening cacao ceremonies, healing rituals with cutting-edge plant medicines, grandmother Ayahuasca, and Peyote cactus. Shamanic practitioners will give you careful instructions. These retreats integrate the sacred medicine practice with the vibrational therapy taught at Farm of Life. Farm of Life offers to support you, but you must be prepared physically, mentally, and spiritually to complete the goal.

We learn on a profound and spiritual level through journey work. Your natural intelligence combines with the wisdom of sacred herbs. You will then be more conscious of the Universe inside you and recall who you are from the Source. Shame, regret, wrath, envy, jealousy, and disease are all easily cured. Divine healing that surpasses all healing modalities is provided when you experience your wonderful, holy nature. Use your mind, heart, spirit, and body to find healing at levels that might otherwise be denied.

Sacred plant medicine practice is enhanced when paired with the full-spectrum healthy living techniques taught at Farm of Life. By maintaining a healthy diet, engaging in yoga, sound and light therapy, and connecting with nature, you may lighten the density, raise your consciousness, and prepare your body, mind, and soul. Additionally, when paired with the ground-breaking therapies of Ayahuasca and Peyote, you can delve even further into comprehending your expanded self.

Ayahuasca Grandmother

Ayahuasca is a shamanic healing ceremony performed at night with The Jaguar as its guide. Also, Ayahuasca, the divine feminine sacred plant medicine, is beyond mind and speech. The Grandmother cleanses and lifts during healing and teaching. Surrender to her alchemical wisdom, and your life will change in ways you never imagined imaginable.

Nicole, a virtuous Medicine Woman with tremendous understanding, is our Ayahuaschera for the inaugural February Retreat. The ritual lasts all night under the moon and stars. We hold the ceremony with practice, singing, prayer, and Nicole’s special instruction, accompanied by grandfather fire. Unfortunately, the woodland medicine is only available for one night during the February retreat.

Our Ayahuaschero for the second February Retreat is Don Gato (Mason), a righteous Medicine Man and a great musician who will skillfully guide you through the evenings. The event is conducted in silence, with Icaros and instruments. Ceremonies end about midnight, allowing us to get some natural sleep between the three nights of the ceremony. The medication builds on itself over numerous (3) nights, allowing one to go deeper into their healing, transmutations, and learnings.

What is Ayahuasca?

Peyote, Grandfather

Mescaline medicine, commonly known as Mesalito, is Grandfather Peyote medicine. A teacher plant, kind and allowing, captured during a midday ceremony while communing with the exquisite silence on this campus. True serenity, oneness, and presence will sweep over you like a soothing stream.

Our darling Peyote is Brian. Since his first contact with this cactus, he has received blessings from the Huichol people of Mexico and visits from Blue Deer. He is being called to lead this effort because of a connection between his soul and mescaline medicine. To reach the tranquil refuge of this college, we travel during the day.

Peyote is available for the February 3rd retreat but not the February 19th session.

Ceremony of Cacao

Cacao is excellent food! It is a food that nourishes the body, the mind, and the spirit. Our knowledgeable Aztec and Mayan forefathers were aware of the holy healing powers of cacao and used it liberally in their royal courts and ceremonies. Cacao is the most pharmacologically complex food on the planet, the most potent antioxidant, and the only food that aids in producing “feel good” hormones in our brains.

Using a recipe that embodies the wisdom of the Aztecs and their royal elixirs, we make a potent elixir of pure, rainforest-produced, organic cacao and other natural medicinal plants. We create a one-of-a-kind ceremonial experience by combining ceremonial cacao medicine with divinely inspired purifying rituals, meditation, healing touch, and Ecstatic Dance to help awaken the heart and spirit. Ecstatic Dance is a kind of meditation through Dance. It is your intimate Dance with your higher Self. You will be professionally guided through the practice while dancing with the frequency of each element and chakra.

The Holy Land

Farm of Life is a spiritual and energetic healing center that will house and nourish you during your weeklong journey. Years of our prayers and meditations have blessed this area, and it bears a solid intention to encourage your transformations. The ground serves as a funnel, spinning energy and clearing transmutations. The land is a shaman in and of itself!

Being here will provide your spirit ease, support, and a desire to release into the trip. This is where you can breathe deeply and relax, knowing you are deeply cared for. The entire site will be reserved exclusively for the retreat, providing our community with a private, intimate, and secure setting for healing, change, and more profound discovery of love.

Healing Retreats Peru

Nourishment

Farm of Life knows how to feed you; it’s our expertise! Our chefs will make a fully catered menu of tasty, nutritious, cooked vegan and vegetarian, raw food, and ayurvedic cuisine. In addition, we will advise you on how to eat light and clean to prepare your body for the enlarged phases.

There will be fasting intervals as we progress through the medical practice, during which we will intentionally serve the Dieta. The Dieta eliminates things that are contraindicated by the drug, such as caffeine, sugar, and salt, to ensure that your experience is as beneficial as possible.

Earth, Fire, and Water

The retreat will focus on reconnecting with the natural elements, the primary teaching of Farm of Life. With Pachamama’s reverence, we expand our gratitude for her abundance and anchor ourselves to her core. She serves as both our foundation and our home. Live the Earth! Foresta vibe! Sungazing is an ancient meditative practice that involves receiving light and prana through the eyes. Live the Light! The energies of our transformations are transmuted by fire, which purifies the spirit. Ceremonial fires will guide our nights. Viva la Fuerza! Water-purifying properties will cleanse and revive us as we peel off the layers as we swim in natural springs, waterfalls, pools, and the ocean. El Agua vive! Deep breathing in the energized air of our tropical jungle aids in detoxification and rejuvenation. Viva la Esperanza!

An Itinerary for Transformations

The all-inclusive retreat affords additional opportunities for participants to relax in our sanctuaries, to play in the jungle, and ultimately shift themselves energetically.  In addition to the three plant ceremonies and Animal Spirit Journey, this retreat includes:

  • Nayaca, Peacefalls and Goddess Falls waterfall hikes
  • Visit to Dominical Beach
  • Daily Yoga, Qi-Gong and Ecstatic Dance
  • Sungazing instruction and daily practice
  • Sound Therapy with the Gong
  • A personal individual sound and light therapy session
  • Clean cuisine vegetarian menu

Who knows where someone’s medicine comes from? Previous visitors have said that the Qigong class or jumping from a waterfall was their medicine. We envision an open, energetically flowing week in which each participant’s journey unfolds in divine order.

Reasons for Not Participating

You may not participate in Ayahuasca or Peyote medicine for various reasons, including specific health issues, drugs, and pregnancy. However, you are invited to apply, and we require total disclosure on your application form, especially regarding the points discussed below. In some circumstances, we can work with you, such as giving you a low dose of the herb, skipping one of the ceremonies, and coming off medicine before the retreat.

We ask for comprehensive disclosure from you if you or members of your blood family have a history of mental illness and prior hospitalizations due to mental health, a history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or suicidal inclinations. We can go over this further if there is a history of depression, anxiety, seizures, or panic disorders. If you have a history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or suicidal ideation, you should avoid Ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca should not be taken if you have a chronic heart ailment or very high blood pressure. Your condition must be minor enough to discontinue your medications before the retreat.

Ayahuasca and Peyote can interact severely with pharmaceutical drugs, including several over-the-counter treatments. Before starting the retreat, you must cease using these medications under physician supervision if necessary. Some medicines take longer to exit your system, and you may need to discontinue them months ahead of time.

These drugs should not be used with Ayahuasca:

Other MAOIs; SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors); antidepressant drugs and mood stabilizers (Prozac, Seroxat, Zoloft, Effexor, Paxil, Welbutrin, Abilify, Aripiprazole); amphetamines (meth-, dex-, amphetamine, Adderall); medications to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narco Please see this website for more information and a medicine list. Ayahuasca is safe to use throughout pregnancy up to 6 months. In truth, the feminine teacher plant can help a woman prepare in body, mind, and spirit for conception, pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. Peyote, on the other hand, is risky during pregnancy since it can cause birth abnormalities and interfere with breastfeeding. Finally, pregnant women must weigh the risks of long-distance and international travel. There is occasionally Zika virus in Costa Rica, so it is something to look into.

Both plant medications are dangerous to use two weeks before a scheduled surgery because they can affect blood pressure and heart rate.

Both plant medicines can cause nausea, vomiting, anxiety, paranoia, fear, emotional instability, drooling, headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, raised blood pressure and heart rate, and cause vision changes. And can connect you with your highest self, send you into a state of bliss and joy, give you psychedelic hallucinations, connect you to nature and presence, open your heart chakra or initiate a kundalini opening with any chakra,
